A stalwart of furniture making, ash is strong and beautifully pale with a course, defined grain which makes it especially striking against darker backgrounds.

Bigger trees from London feature darker olive tones, whilst woodland butts from the home counties are more consistent in colour. One of the cheaper hardwoods; an absolute bargain.
