We're recycling what was once a fully insulated 6m freezer unit on the back of a lorry into our third kiln.
Next week the computer controlled brain and drying systems will be installed and it'll be up and running. We love a bit of recycling!
Our kilns provide the final step in the timber seasoning process. It starts with us milling green tree trunks into boards. These are carefully stacked outdoors to 'air dry' for around 12 months. The timber is then moved to our kilns for a week or two. They reduce the boards' moisture content to a point where they are ready to be used for interior furniture.
