After we receive your Single Tree furniture order, we will contact you to discuss making your table, and give you the opportunity to select one of the slabs milled from its tree.

Every slab is unique which is why we like to give you the chance to pick your favourite. If you're happy to leave it to us, that's fine too.

Find out more about our process below.

milled slabs

We mill a single tree trunk into multiple full-width slabs. These are carefully stacked and left to dry in the open air for up two years.

When their moisture content is low enough, the slabs go through a final process of kiln drying before they are racked, ready to be made into tables.

Slab selection

The kiln dried slabs remain 'rough sawn' until they are selected to be made into tables. We keep photos of every slab so you can choose your favourite - if you wish.

The sawn timber photographs can only provide an 'rough' idea of how the table will look when it's finished. Our team will help you choose. The pictures on our product pages provide an example of how the timber will be transformed once finished.

Finishing touches

Our urban trees have lived eventful lives that leave their mark as quirky grain patterns, knots and small splits in the wood. In our book, a bit of character is a good thing.

We will discuss how we finish your table and fill any small splits. You may choose to leave them alone, or we can fill them with a suitably-coloured filler of your choice.

Over to you

When we've completed your table, we will deliver it to you fully assembled. After that, it's future is in your hands.

To help you keep it looking its best, we provide a care pack, along with a certificate of provenance.
